Chef Cristian Flores

When only 13-years-old Cristian Flores moved from Santiago, Chile to begin a new life in the United States.

At the age of 19, Cristian enrolled at the Le Marmite Culinary in New Jersey. Following graduation, he spent the next 18 years working in various restaurants in New Jersey and New York. His journey began as a line cook at the Trap Rock Restaurant and Brewery; then continued as Sous Chef at Mohawk House; Executive Chef at Bloomberg Corp; Party Manager and Chef at Princeton University; and Executive Chef and Manager at The Webster Apartments in Manhattan.

Currently — with a NY Degree of Culinary Instructor and his focus on great-quality food, farm-to-fork cooking, and butchery — Cristian continues to share his knowledge and passion for cooking (and teaching) with the kitchen staff here at Bistango.
